Education & Coaching Philosophy

Chelle earned her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education and Recreation Management from Bethune-Cookman University, with focused undergraduate studies in Special Education.

Her academic path was intentionally designed to support work with children with special needs, emphasizing Adaptive Physical Education (Adaptive PE)—a discipline centered on modifying sports, movement, and physical activity to ensure inclusivity, accessibility, and meaningful engagement for all participants.

Through this training, Chelle developed the ability to:

  • Modify traditional sports for varying physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities

  • Create inclusive movement environments rooted in confidence, safety, and encouragement

  • Use play, sport, and structured activity to promote health, joy, and social connection

  • Ensure children of all abilities can experience exercise, teamwork, and fun

This educational foundation deeply informs her coaching and program design today. Whether working with competitive athletes striving for the next level or youth who benefit from adaptive approaches, Chelle believes everyone deserves access to movement, sport, and positive activity experiences—not just to perform, but to belong.

Her approach is grounded in patience, structure, and genuine care, making her programs welcoming spaces where athletes and families feel supported, seen, and motivated to continue their journey.

Current & Future Coaching

Chelle currently coaches volleyball at Rainier Beach High School, where she supports student-athletes both on and off the court.

Her club coaching experience includes working with U-14, U-15, and U-17 teams at Sabotage Volleyball Club, focusing on age-appropriate skill development, game IQ, confidence-building, and long-term athlete growth during key developmental stages.

Looking ahead, Chelle is preparing to launch Axionyx Volleyball Club for the 2026–2027 season—a program intentionally designed to combine competitive volleyball training with inclusive coaching practices, character development, and long-term athlete development.

Why families choose to work with Chelle

  • Proven Division I playing and leadership experience

  • Strong foundation in education, inclusion, and adaptive coaching

  • A coaching style that prioritizes confidence, safety, and long-term development

  • Programs designed to help athletes grow, enjoy movement, and stay engaged

Why I Started Axionyx Fitness — and Why Axionyx Volleyball Club Is Next

I didn’t grow up playing volleyball.

As a kid, my world was basketball and track. Volleyball wasn’t even on my radar—until someone opened a door I didn’t know existed. Coaches along the way believed in me, supported me, and helped fund opportunities that my family and I didn’t even know were possible at the time. That belief changed my life.

The moment I stepped into the game of volleyball, I fell in love—not just with the sport itself, but with the energy behind it. The cheers. The encouragement. The constant communication. The way every point requires trust, teamwork, and connection. Volleyball taught me how powerful it is to belong to something bigger than yourself.

That experience stayed with me.

Axionyx Fitness was created from that foundation—the belief that movement, confidence, and support can change the direction of a young person’s life. Over time, it became clear that volleyball needed its own dedicated space under the Axionyx umbrella—a place where girls could experience the same support, structure, and opportunity that shaped my journey.

Axionyx Volleyball Club is being built for athletes who may not have had early exposure to club volleyball, who may be discovering the sport later, or whose families are navigating how to make competitive athletics work. This club is rooted in access, transparency, and development—helping families understand the pathways, expectations, and opportunities available through volleyball.

While participation does require commitment and investment, the heart of this program is education and guidance—so families know why they’re investing, what their athlete is building toward, and how volleyball can open doors at the collegiate level. There are real opportunities to receive financial support through volleyball while earning an education, and too many girls never hear that message early enough.

My goal is to create a program where athletes are supported, informed, and developed—where they learn the game, grow in confidence, and understand what’s possible both on and off the court.

I want more girls to feel the joy I felt.

I want more families to see the bigger picture.
And I want Axionyx Volleyball Club to be a place where opportunity feels reachable, not intimidating.
